Argentine birthday cake!

Over this past weekend my family's friend Roberto had his birthday.... So of coarse I made him a cake :)

Roberto is from Argentina so I used the Argentine flag to model my cake after.

I did make a mistake here because I didn't lay the fondant as smoothly as I should have, so there were a few air bubbles causing some lumpiness...

The cake was three layers thick. :)

The flavor of the cake was chocolate and vanilla :)

The inside of the cake was checkered which turned out pretty cool! I have to give credit to my mom here because she was the one that actually baked this cake (due to time shortage).... I just did the decorating. Thanks mom :)

Chicken Alfredo Pizza

Last week I made chicken alfredo pizza and it turned out so good!! The best thing about it was that it was super easy to make and you can add whatever ingredients you want and however much you want :)

For my pizza I kept it pretty simple.

Serves: 2-4

I used:
Water
1 box of "Jiffy" Pizza Crust mix (Be sure to follow directions.)
About 1/2 cup Classico Four Cheese Alfredo sauce.
4 raw, bonesless, skinless chicken breasts (about 3 oz. each)
About 3/4 bag of Kraft Pizza (mozzarella/cheddar) shredded cheese.
A few sprinkles of parmesan cheese
Handful of flour
*Would also be good with pesto.

Steps:
1. Prepare "Jiffy" Pizza Crust Mix as directed.
2. Cut raw chicken into about 1 inch cubes.
3. Boil chicken in a pan over stove.
4. Roll out dough fairly thin on a lightly flour covered counter top and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
5. When the pizza dough is prepared as directed spread desired amount of alfredo sauce all over the dough.
6. After sauce is spread sprinkle desired amount of cheese over the sauce.
7. When chicken is cooked in the boiling water drain the water and scatter chicken chunks over the cheese.
8. Shake parmesan cheese over the pizza.
9. Bake as directed.

Collin's Birthday Cake

Last month was my boyfriend's little cousin's 7th (I believe) birthday so I was volunteered to make him a cake :) He loves legos so I decided to roll with it...

I used my knowledge from watching so many episodes of Cake Boss and decided that using "cereal treats" would be the best way to build my little lego man!

I for sure think lego man would have looked better wrapped in fondant so maybe I'll give that a try next time. We also decided to use blue because Collin is a USU Aggie fan!

I hope you had a very happy birthday Collin!!!

cake balls for Katie

This past September my sister Katie was deployed to Iraq, so while I was at home bored one day I decided to make her some cake balls to keep her company :)

Because they would be traveling long distances I had to package them appropriately of coarse :P

My first cake experience...

These pictures are pretty old,
Back in November I decided to make my boyfriend Keegan a cake for his 20th birthday. His cake was inspired by his forever favorite crime fighters: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

The cake flavor was funfetti and decorated with marshmallow fondant :)
 The birthday boy :)
